CCW (Conceal Carry Weapon) Firearm Class- NRA Based Class *Now Only $75!*
This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. This course is 8 hours long and includes 6 hours classroom time and 2 hours of range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. There are two testing components to this class, a written test and a range competency test. Firearm carry guidelines for the State are reviewed and covered. This class is taught by instructors with both firearm and law enforcement experience, offering a a unique blending of practical material. Our instructors use the NRA Basic Pistol class as a foundation for the Ohio CCW permit certification. The goal of this class is to teach basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Through this course, the student will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, shooting fundamentals, Ohio Firearms Laws and storage & transportation. The classroom lecture uses teaching aids including: NRA material, an audiovisual segment, real and “dummy” firearms. The classroom portion of the course emphasizes “discovery learning” – i.e. hands-on activity learning. In addition, there is live firing instruction concluding the day at a local range. Upon successfully completing this class, an individual may apply for a CCW permit in the State of Ohio and Florida (after Ohio’s is obtained). This is NOT a tactical class. It is a basic pistol, safety class. No ammunition is allowed in the classroom at any time. Firearms brought in, will be locked and reviewed for safety and to ensure being empty of ammunition.

A quick review of firearm safety and trip to an outdoor range area, where individuals will be allowed to shoot a live firearm and practice their gun handling techniques under the watchful eye of an instructor. Once shooting is completed, and individual has passed live fire component, class is completed.
Items needed: Pen, Paper/Notebook, Firearm/Pistol (if you own one – if not one is provided for an additional fee), Ammunition (at least 50 rounds), Eye and Ear Protection, Snacks/etc.
This class complies with the State of Ohio, Florida, Arizona and Virginia (and many others) requirements to apply for a concealed firearm permit. Individuals that successfully complete the class receive a certificate that allows them to apply for a CCW permit. $75 per person and does not including using a firearm and ammunition. (8 hr class does not include use of a firearm or ammunition; must reserve in advance). If you would like to rent a firearm, the cost is $15 for the day (while supplies last). Our Instructor did a great job teaching us. He was very personable and was great at explaining the laws. We had a fun time learning about firearms, while also finding out about applying for our CCW permit. I would definitely recommend this class!

Advanced CCW Class- (4 Hour Class) :
This class, designed by law enforcement individuals, offers an additional level of training to those that have just completed “the basic”. This class offers direct and individualized indoor simulated range time or extensive drill practice outdoors. Class time includes topics such as: home defense, cover vs. concealment, awareness and drawing a firearm from a holster. Range time includes: muscle memory, drawing from a holster, shooting a firearm with dominant and non-dominant hand and shooting around obstacles.
Students must have a valid CCW permit from their State of residence (or in the process of obtaining it), reliable firearm, reliable holster and minimally 2 magazines. $70 per person, 4 hour class. This class also meets the State of Ohio Instructor Review Requirements for hybrid CCW classes (ie- if you have taken the class portion online and wish to have the live fire range time). Class is limited to 6 people.
Parent and Child Firearm Safety Class:
A one of a kind class allows parents and children to review firearm arm safety and personal responsibility. Firearm safety is the forefront of the class, as well as explaining the differences between rifles, shotguns, and pistols. Class finishes up with practical range time and shooting experience, supervised by instructor and parent. We are the only company in Central Ohio to offer this type of class to the public.
This class is 4hrs. and includes use of firearm (with ammo). Cost: $55 per person
